Ecological Data

It is a requirement of any member of IEEM that any scientific data collected during the course of our work is made available to the local biological records centre. As well as the local biological records centre we send data to other relevant local recording groups.

Railway and Construction Sites

We have staff with Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification allowing them to work "lineside" on the railways, this allows them to undertake all the standard ecological surveys as well as ecological clerk of works whilst "lineside".

We also have staff who are white card holders with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), meaning they have passed a health and safety examination for a construction-related occupation.

Environment

The Wildlife Survey unit is committed to minimising the impact of it's activities on the environment. A copy of our Environmental Policy Statement is available on request.

We aim to be as sustainable as it is possible to be. We reduce the carbon emissions that we are responsible for and use the carbon calculators of the World Land Trust to calculate those carbon emissions that we can't eliminate from the day to day running the business. These are offset by support of the World Land Trust's restoration ecology projects which both offset carbon dioxide emissions and conserve biodiversity.

Insurance

We offer the following standard insurances:

  • Professional Indemnity - £1,000,000
  • Public and Products Liability - £5,000,000
